Recovery:

 

As an adult child of an alcoholic, I learned many habits and character traits that served me well to survive as a youth, however, these traits did not serve me well in adulthood.

 

I've been participating in a recovery program focused on individuals impacted by someone else's drinking and it has been a wonderful, healing journey. I've learned self-care, boundary setting, and letting go of others' actions in addition to daily spiritual tools and habits that are leading to much joy in my life!  I'm now ready to work with others who have been impacted by others' addictions and be a strong, compassionate listening ear.

Marriage/Relationships:

With over 30 years of marriage and nearly 60 years of life experience, I've seen and worked through a wide variety of many hills, valleys, straightaways and seasons of simply being a human being. I've learned many communication tools and techniques during this time of being a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, coworker, etc.  How we show up in our relationships makes a powerful difference. I'd love to share what I've learned with you!

Life Transitions:

Change is constant and can be depleting and anxiety-inducing. I've learned to manage change and cope with anxiety, loss, and unmet expectations. Relationship changes, job changes, loss of loved ones, etc. I've learned great practices and habits to help me cope in the best way possible.

 

Faith & Spirituality:

​

I've worked for a faith-based organization, taken courses at Sioux Falls Seminary, led Bible studies and actively spend time studying God's Word daily. If biblical and spiritual principles align with your values, I can incorporate my faith-based perspective into our conversations.
